IT’S CALLED KIDS - DIY Water Slide. You need : 1⃣A plastic roll (Ours was 10m long) 2⃣Sand bags to fix the plastic to the floor (It was the easiest and safest solution for this) We used supermarket bags and sand we brought back from the beach 3⃣Dishwashing liquid 4⃣A hose of course. And that’s it! You’re in for a whole lot of fun! It’s really easy and the kids Looooved it :))))

IT’S CALLED DIY - Summer Bag. The stripes were pretty easy to paint but I screwed up the Monogram 😓 so I painted a black square over it and opted to glue small wooden letters instead. And here’s the result! A personalized summer basket 😄 #Diy #SummerBag #Monogram

IT’S CALLED BZGETTINGHITCHED - THE Dress

image

This is a great quote that illustrates perfectly how I felt about my dress. It says : “If you feel goose bumps on your skin without it being touched, it means a YES from your soul”

I didn’t have any idea of the dress I wanted. I kept browsing the internet only to gather images of so many different styles that I couldn’t clearly identify what I wanted. I was in for a long search. Or so I thought….

I made a few appointments at different stores for the same week and the first one was at Jenny Packham. I loved a lot of her gowns but there was one specifically that I really wanted to try on. When we got there, the lady had prepared the dress I asked to see, but she looked at me and immediately picked up another one and said I should try it on. I took the dress she gave me but still wanted to check the others at the store.

When I got to the dressing room, the first dress that was given to me to try on wasn’t the one I previously wanted to see, I obliged and decided to try this one anyway.

When I got in front of the mirror I can’t even exactly describe how I felt. It was so overwhelming, I have no words. Goose bumps all over, tears in my eyes, princess thoughts in my mind, and of course HIM. I could see my Love look at me walking down the aisle. I stood there, crying with my best friend and maid of honor, and even got a tear out of the sales lady. She said she saw me in the dress as soon as I entered the store :) I thought those things only happened in movies but apparently not!

I then thought, ok, maybe this is happening because I had never seen myself in a wedding dress. Maybe it’s not just the dress. So I started to try on a few others I had selected.

The one I originally wanted to try on, I didn’t like on me. They had a ton of beautiful dresses and I tried them all on and NONE made me feel as the first one did.

So I knew right then and there it was THE ONE.

I canceled all the appointments I had at the other stores, and that’s how, in minutes, I chose my wedding dress.

It is the “Dentelle” by Jenny Packham

B.

I had my hair up for the ceremony because I wanted the details in the back to be more visible, and took the veil off and let my hair down right after it.

I also fell in Love with this hairpiece at Jenny Packhamimage

IT’S CALLED VACATION - POOLSIDE ESSENTIALS

image

- Monoi oil is a must in the summer, just the smell of it says Vacation! I use it for my hair, it creates the perfect beach waves, but it’s also good for the skin.

- Sunglasses. I can’t stand in the sun doing nothing so normally I’m reading and I need my sunglasses. I use small Rayban’s in kids size, they’re small enough to not leave tan marks on my face.

- A good book. I am currently reading Bringing Up Bébé (The 3rd book this summer) and am really enjoying it :)

- The jewelry is all by my Etsy store It’s Called Serendipity The Jewelry

****

Estou agora a ler o Bringing Up Bébé ( O terceiro livro estas férias) e estou a gostar imenso.

- Os fios são da minha loja do Etsy It’s Called Serendipity The Jewelry

And of course, never forget to protect the skin you’re in :)

- Thalgo Mist : I use it to spray my face now and then when in the sun. It is moisturising, very refreshing and smells really good (As you can see I am all about the smells :P)

- Kérastase voile lactée : as hair protector. The sun really damages and burns the hair, so it’s really important to spray this on during the day to protect it.

-Clarins SPF 50 : I am fortunate to have a good skin and I don’t normally get sunburn so the sun care I use is normally SPF 10 to 20, but this year as I am pregnant I try to not expose my belly very much, but when I do I use much higher protection because pregnancy hormones can cause brown stains on the skin. To avoid this I am using this CLARINS SPF 50 on my belly

- Fotoprotector ISDIN spray SPF 30 : I use this one on the rest of my body. I discovered it this summer thanks to my DAD who’s always trying new things :) I just love it! You just need to spray it all over, and done! It penetrates real quick so the skin doesn’t get all gluey.

Love,

B.

….

Love,

B.
