It’s Called Great products – THE LAUNDRESS NY

images

🇺🇸

The LAUNDRESS is a Laundry products brand, they have detergents for everything, every color and every material. Their products are really good, they smell great and really work (I’ve tried the darks and the Baby detergent and they are amazing, although a bit pricey).

But they have two products which I really LOVE and would recommend :

-Fabric Fresh : To spray your sheets before you go to bed or when the bed is made. Everything smells good and feels soooo fresh! ( I use 2 scents : Lady and Baby)

-Static Solution : This one is A-MA-ZING! I wear a lot of dresses and many fabrics just get stuck to your body with electricity, plus the seats in my car are leather so it’s even more frustrating. Just spray a little bit of this under your dress and the electricity instantly goes away, it’s magical :) Plus it’s a small package so you can carry it in your bag all day.

Buy this HERE or HERE

You can also follow The Laundress Blog HERE. It is full of great ideas and tips for your laundry.

It’s Called Good Tips- BUMP NEST BODY PILLOW

image

Well, what can I say…. This pillow is just A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!! There are really no words because you really have to try it to feel it. Let’s just say that it is supposedly for pregnant women but my boys here at home have been taking turns to at least watch some TV in it (Because sleeping is reserved to ME!) I’ve had it for a month and I really think I couldn’t sleep without it now, at least I wouldn’t sleep so well. No, Bump Nest is not sponsoring this post, I swear!

****

image

More on the practical side. Yes, it is made for pregnant women and it really helps, it gives you comfort and “holds” your belly whatever side you’re in. It also tucks your back so you don’t feel sore waking up, it is just perfect. But even if you’re not pregnant this is a really good pillow, it gives you comfort and tucks you in so well you fall asleep like a Baby.

Here’s mine :

It comes in a transport bag so you can easily bring it with you to the maternity :

And they add a little beanie for your baby to come (Not pictured here but soooo cute), made from the fabric scraps of your pillow and they make more with the rest to be donated to babies in need through their SCRAPS2CAPS foundation. It makes the purchase even better :)

It’s called Good Tips – Travelling essentials

tumblr_mqwku22hev1qc09teo2_r1_1280

🇺🇸

I went to Paris for a few days last week to see my friends and possibly pick a Wedding Dress (Which I did, Yeyyyyyyyy! But more on that in another post later on…) and although this one is a very short flight (1h40), it reminded me I wanted to do a post on travelling essentials for long flights. So here it is.

When I travel, I like to be comfortable above all, nevertheless it’s always good to come up with a cute look as well :)

Layering is very important! In between flights you might want to go outside the airport and it might be very hot so a thin t-shirt is the best, but then in the airport and on the plane air conditioning is normally very high so you need layers. A tied shirt (Pic 1) might be great but it’s also good to have a sweatshirt to add on. I always carry a pashmina or a shawl, so I don’t end up with a sore throat, and, always always a pair of socks. My go-to comfy shoes are always ballerinas so I bring a pair of socks for the plane. (Pic 2)

As for in flight accessories (Pic 3), I always bring :

– My iPad, with some movies and series in it

– Headphones

– Tons of magazines

– A good book (I am currently reading this one by Audrey Diwan)

– Elizabeth Arden’s Eight hour cream (This one was a special vintage edition)

– A Lip balm (Here Chanel)

– A hand cream (Here Nuxe’s rêve de miel)

– A water spray, hydrating and very refreshing (Here Evian)

– A toothbrush. Brush your teeth! It’s the best way to feel refreshed during a long flight. This one is called Wisp by Colgate and it already has some toothpaste on it, which is great

I also bring healthy snacks, because food on the plane is, well, hugh. And I make sure to drink a lot to keep hydrated.

And that’s it!

If you guys have any great tips for traveling, please feel free to share, I’d love to hear them!

Love,

B.

PT/

It’s Called Good Tips – Music

When I was 16/17, I used to wake up everyday to the sound of George Michael’s “Freedom”.

I’m kind of a “grumpy-for-half-an-hour-when-I-wake-up-kind-of-girl”… And I remember when I decided to use Freedom as an alarm, it all changed!!!!

It really did.

I don’t know what it is about that song, that just makes you want to jump out of bed, grab a hairbrush and start singing and dancing to it :)

So lately, as I had tried all the iPhone alarm sounds, I decided to go back to “Freedom mornings”, and it was the best decision ever!

That is why this post is tagged “good tips”, try this, you’ll see what I mean ;)

IT’S CALLED DIY – Art

I had this giant Ikea New york print for years, I loved it but having seen it in so many places, I felt it needed a little something…

So I just bought some wooden letters, spray painted them red and glued them on!

I’m a big Ikea fan, but what I like more is transforming Ikea items :) (See THIS post) And this was a good way to personalize my Art.

Enjoy!

IT’S CALLED GOOD TIPS – Kids

For those of you who have kids or have a very light and “easy to burn” skin, this is THE BEST of THE BEST sunscreen :)

This was actually recommended by my son’s pediatrician when he was 2. I started using it since then and now he’s and 8 never had a sunburn even in the most hot places, or during entire days under the sun :)

It is very light, therefore easy to apply. It is not thick and doesn’t get your skin all white.

It’s Called SOLONG, they only sell it in pharmacies here in Europe. (They have an equivalent in the states but I can’t remember the name) It says SPF 20 on the tube but it definitely is TOTAL BLOCK. I normally apply it twice a day and it’s done!

The only not so good thing is it’s a bit pricey. Approx. 30€ for a small tube (100ml). But it is definitely worth it!

Try it and let me know…

It’s called good tips – Beauty

These are the body products I am using right now.

From left to right :

-La Sultane de Saba “Moisturizer”

La Sultane de Saba is one of my favorite SPAs in Paris, they have their own line of products, and I just love this body moisturizer. It leaves a little glow on the skin and smells like Vanilla!

-StriVectin SD “Stretch Marks”

I happen to have some stretch marks on the sides of my tummy due to my pregnancy, and while there are no Miracles (We all know that stretch marks, once they come, never go away :-/), if you use this product right, it will definitely ease them a bit.

-YSL “Total Fitness”

This is a spray to use on your breasts and bust, it really gives you a sense of “push up” it’s like you have a screen on that gives firmness to this area of your body. The smell is not so good though… But it can’t all be perfect right?!

– Clarins “Addition concentré Minceur”

This one is for shaping and helps with cellulite. You mix a few drops of it in your own body moisturizer and apply. It lasts very long and really helps shaping the body.

– Lancôme “Magistrale”

This is one of my favorite products. It helps define both tummy and arms (Not a lot of arm specific products in the market). Plus it smells really good!

Brow Bar By Benefit

Did you know that Benefit has a Brow Bar at every Benefit Store around the world, or at chosen Sephora stores?! Well they do :)

I have been doing my brows with the lovely Andrea at my local Sephora Store for quite some time and she is good… But they also have other things like eyelash and brows tinting, which I tried and loved!

The Brow Shaping and Waxing is amazing. It is quick, it doesn’t hurt, and the girls know what they’re doing.

The Eyelash Tinting I did back in December on my trip to London, at a Benefit store there. It is really great, you don’t even need mascara as they are perfect for a Day look. It lasts for about a month.

The Brows Tinting I tried last week. I wasn’t very convinced because I couldn’t really see what difference it would make. But it DOES make a difference! The brows look darker so they are accentuated and give you a more “Dramatic” look, in a good way :) It also lasts about a month.

MAKE UP REMOVAL

Chanel ” Lait Douceur”

This is the smoothest way of getting your make up off. Not the fastest, easiest or less expensive, but the Smoothest, which is very important.

I am always tempted to remove my make up with wipes, it’s easy and fast, but my skin always feel very dry afterwards. So what I do is I remove the big part with a wipe and then gently remove the rest with this “lait douceur” so my skin won’t feel so dry. The bad thing is it makes you use a lot of cotton pads. We can’t have it all, can we?!
